Calgary explained why Zadorov missed five matches in a row

Calgary head coach Darryl Sutter answered a question from journalist Es Gilbertson about the reason why Russian defender Nikita Zadorov missed the team's last five matches in the NHL regular season.

– We have competition. If you play well, then you are playing. If you play poorly, then you are not playing , – said Sutter.

The 26-year-old Russian has played three matches this season without scoring effective actions.

Calgary leads the Western Conference with 13 points after eight games.
