Roger Federer's coach was skeptical about the Swiss's prospects for the upcoming Australian Open.
– I think there are very few chances, he is still recovering, and knowing him, I think Roger wants to be sure that he can play 100% of his readiness.
So I think the Australian Open is unrealistic right now. But he will go step by step, because he is now 40 years old, and he needs to be patient. He cannot recover as quickly as before, – said Ivan Ljubicic.
Federer has not played since losing the Wimbledon quarterfinals in July, having previously undergone knee surgery.
