GSC Game World responded to a fan's question about the impact of the political agenda on the storyline of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl. In the official Discord, the company's community manager assured the gamer that world events in this area would not matter for the title.

“Our game universe is fictional, so no political events from our world will be present in the game, as before.”
The release of STALKER 2 is scheduled for April 28, 2022, pre-orders for the game on Steam have already started. The shooter will also launch on Xbox Series X / S and will be available with an Xbox Game Pass subscription the same day it launches. Earlier, the developers showed a video recording the sounds of shooting for the game.
