Indie developer has released a game based on the “Squid Games” – its online has exceeded 30 thousand people

Developer Dani created Crab Game based on Netflix's Squid Game. The title page appeared on Steam on October 29, and online games, according to SteamDB, exceeded 30 thousand people.

The game supports multiplayer sessions up to 35 players. In total, Crab Game has 28 different maps with challenges based on children's games, as well as nine modes. In the description of the game, the developer noted that the title “is definitely not based on any Korean TV series available on the streaming service” – the author of Crab Game added this line due to fears of being sued.

On Twitch, the indie game category has between 15,000 and 30,000 active viewers. The Crab Game was broadcast by one of the most popular streamers Felix xQc Lengjel – over 200 thousand viewers watched the broadcast.

Earlier, it was reported on the network that the streaming service Netflix is considering the possibility of releasing an official game based on the Squid Game. According to a service representative, the company is exploring the possibility of expanding the franchise beyond the TV show, including in the video game format.
