The release of the kung fu action game Sifu will take place on February 8, 2022, and not on February 22, as originally planned. The developers from the Sloclap studio announced this on Twitter. The authors of the game also showed two new trailers describing the gameplay mechanics.
Sifu was originally slated for release in 2021. According to the developers, it took them additional time due to production difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Some netizens have suggested that the new release postpone was prompted by Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West, which are both due out in late February.
Previously, the developers said that Sifu will be a completely single player game. The main idea of the title is to achieve mastery through long training sessions. The entire passage will be devoted to how the main character is constantly improving his style. This studio was assisted by a martial arts master. In addition, the protagonist will grow old with each failure, becoming stronger. However, if there are too many defeats, he will die of old age and the game will have to start over.
