Like what happened in Spain, the LFP could soon conclude an agreement with an investment fund. An operation, which could have repercussions on the sale process of ASSE. Explanations.

Last August, Javier Tebas ratified the agreement between Liga and the fund CVC Capital Partners . An operation accepted by the vast majority of Spanish first and second division clubs with the exception of Real Madrid , FC Barcelona , Athletic Bilbao and a team that did not wish to be identified. The CVC fund recovers 10% of the rights of the Spanish championship against a colossal investment of 2.7 billion euros. The thirty-eight clubs, which have accepted this agreement, will see their capital increase, which is beneficial for La Liga. President of the LFP, Vincent Labrune also hopes to conclude such an agreement.

ASSE seeks to reassure certain investors

As explained by RMC Sport, but also Peuple Vert, the former president of OM is looking for an investment fund willing to invest in the French championship. Peuple-Vert announces that the sum of 1.5 billion euros could come to replenish the coffers of the signatory clubs. In delicacy with its finances, ASSE could thus earn nearly € 60 million. A prospect, which should reassure the many investors, interested in the Saint-Etienne club and who for some are in full doubt. The sale process is dragging on, but exclusive negotiations should begin in the coming weeks to try to complete the sale file. The leaders of ASSE could well put the accent on this agreement, which could do the greatest good to the professional teams and in particular to the Greens.
