With the departure of Claude Puel, ASSE has made some changes internally in order to relaunch the club before the long-awaited sale.

After having escaped there for many weeks, Claude Puel was finally laid off on Sunday after the rout against Stade Rennais. “This Sunday, the Executive Chairman of AS Saint-Étienne took the decision to withdraw from Mr. Claude Puel, until further notice, the management of the professional team”, explained the club. Therefore, before the sale of the club, the ASSE embarked on an overhaul of its organization chart.

And for good reason, Claude Puel was manager of the Greens, so there needs to be an internal reorganization. With this in mind, Loïc Perrin is returning to ASSE as sports coordinator and will therefore be under the direction of Jean-François Soucasse , Executive Chairman, and will work closely with Samuel Rustem , Deputy General Manager in charge of sports activities. Another former Stéphanois, Julien Sablé could take over the interim after the departure of Claude Puel according to EVECT. Consequently, things are moving among the Greens.
