While ASSE managed to secure the loan from Paul Bernardoni, Pascal Dupraz justifies his choice to recruit a goalkeeper.
As revealed exclusively by le10sport.com, ASSE obtained the loan from Paul Bernardoni who disembarks from Angers . A choice which may surprise given the fact that Etienne Green was one of the revelations of last season and has just had a pretty solid first half of the season. However, on the one hand Etienne Green is injured, and on the other hand, Pascal Dupraz wanted to count on an experienced goalkeeper while the ASSE is fighting to stay in the top flight. This is what the ASSE coach explains at a press conference.

“The selection criteria is that they know the French championship, that they have experience. The fact that they had experienced a similar situation (with Nimes) was not a selection criterion. The first argument is that the titular goalkeeper is injured. That's why we checked the possibility of recruiting a guard. Bajic or Green are keepers in the making. What also weighed is the psychological impact of popular pressure. Paul Bernardoni is certainly better able to manage this pressure that I had underestimated ”, assures Dupraz .
