While he should have remained close to ASSE after the takeover of the Saint-Etienne club, Bernard Caïazzo is expected to leave everything to go to Dubai once the sale is formalized.
For some time now, the two presidents of ASSE , namely Bernard Caïazzo and Roland Romeyer work in order to hand over and withdraw. Several takeover projects, currently scrutinized by the KPGM cabinet, could thus take over, the project of Jean – Michel Roussier and by Mathieu Bodmer seems to be the favorite. For Romeyer , the wish is simple: that everything happens before the new year. “At one point or another we will end up getting there, it has to be. I would like this to be done before the end of the calendar year. If we find the right candidate, who meets our criteria, the change will normally only be beneficial for the club ”.
Caïzzo, a retreat in Dubai?
On the side of Bernard Caïazzo , the situation would have changed on the question of his reconversion. Indeed, according to But Football Club, Caïazzo should not remain at ASSE after the possible sale of the club to occupy an honorary role there. Once the Greens are redeemed, the chairman of the supervisory board would retire completely to join Dubai. The stage is set.
