Asked to comment on ASSE's sale process, Roland Romeyer admitted that the club was struggling to find a new investor.
Since April 14, the ASSE sale process has been launched but has not yet been completed. A situation which poses serious questions concerning the real will of the current shareholders of the club. But in an interview with Le Progrès, Roland Romeyer drops his truths about the sale of ASSE , assuring that for the moment, no project is suitable.
“Currently, nobody has filled all the boxes”
“The problem is absolutely not how much we are going to resell our shares. I'm not making a fuss of the money. It’s a matter of succession. What is important is to find someone who can make the club possible. At the moment, there is nobody. Unfortunately no one. I've had meetings with candidates in Saint-Etienne, Paris, Switzerland… But when it's time to put everything on the table and provide the tangible stuff to KPMG, no one has. Currently, no one has filled in all the boxes, “he said.
