While ASSE had started the season with Claude Puel as coach, Julien Sablé will be on the bench this Saturday against < strong>Reims , before giving way to another technician, only taking over the interim. The crisis experienced by the Greens during this exercise was therefore fatal to Puel who ended up being dismissed following the debacle against Rennes . Changes that don't have to be easy for players. And this Thursday, at a press conference, Wahbi Khazri , new captain of ASSE , spoke out on the subject. “From the start, we have been on the pitch. Everyone has their responsibilities and their share of fault. The coach has it because he's the one who makes the team, but we also didn't do everything well. (…) If we go out quickly, that will mean that the change of coach has had an impact. Against Rennes, we took goals bordering on ridiculous. There are lots of little things that cost us a lot. (…) We cannot fire 25 players so we fire the coach. This is the lot of all clubs in this situation. We said things to each other too. We are here for a mission: to save the club. This will require compliance with the instructions. (…) I must have known about 20 coaches in my career. These are the vagaries of football. We have to be efficient on the field, afterwards it is Loic who manages what is outside ”, explained Wahbi Khazri concerning these changes of coaches at ASSE .
