Taking advantage of an interview with L’Equipe, Norodom Ravichak said he really wanted to buy ASSE while pointing out the lack of clarity in the sales intentions of the two Presidents of the Saint-Etienne club.
For a long time now, it has been publicly proclaimed by Roland Romeyer and Bernard Caïazzo that a desire to sell the ASSE animates them. The chairmen of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board, respectively, would like to turn the page before the end of the calendar year and have mandated the KPMG cabinet to ensure that the right club buyout plan is selected in line with the interests of the institution that is ASSE . And given the evolution of the situation, the project to buy the Prince of Cambodia Norodom Ravichak will not be the lucky one, unlike that of Olivier Markanian and Jean – Michel Roussier / Mathieu Bodmer , who are touted as being the favorites. Norodom Ravichak also accused the two presidents of not being clear in their desire to sell the club, never having had them even on the phone.
“If I were a prince from Qatar or Saudi Arabia, I am sure they would have called me”
After admitting that the chronology of events was surprising and that he even wondered about the real sales intentions of Bernard Caïazzo and Roland Romeyer , Norodom Ravichak conveyed the following message. “I never met them, nor had any contact with them. Only three people from KPMG, during my official declaration of intent and to present my strategy. And again, it was by videoconference. If I were a prince from Qatar or Saudi Arabia, I'm sure they would have called me. I was ready to move to Dubai (where Caiazzo now resides) ”. the Prince of Cambodia told L’Equipe.
