While the sale process of ASSE is slow to materialize, Claude Puel recognizes that the situation has an impact on the group which continues to fight for its maintenance.
For several months, Roland Romeyer and Bernard Caïazzo launched the process of selling ASSE. On November 23, KPMG , the audit firm mandated to scrutinize the applications, will present the offers deemed serious and interesting to the current owners who will therefore have to decide. In the meantime, the ASSE continues to fight to stay in Ligue 1 with a worrying 19th place and only one victory since the start of the season. And Claude Puel acknowledges in an interview with L'Equipe that all the rumors surrounding the sale of the club have an impact on the workforce.
“So we cannot say that he has not impact ”
“ I discussed it with the players and the staff. Our role is to try as much as possible to disconnect this soap opera from our daily lives. People, more or less serious, want to be talked about. You can take that with a bit of derision, if not that you are in a company that attracts a lot of supporters. And this soap opera can tend to destabilize many. So you can't say it doesn't have an impact. But since no one knows when the sale will take place, we can't wait for it to happen. It wouldn't be serious. We must remain confronted with reality. We are in the fight and we have to win it. That's all I'm interested in, “Puel says.
