In recent years he has never been able to make himself indispensable despite the enormous amount he has cost and the situation at Barça now makes a departure inevitable. Few clubs seem to want to give him a chance, however. Thus, SPORT announced that Coutinho could leave FC Barcelona and return to the Brazilian championship, or two clubs would follow closely and would be ready to make an offer during this winter transfer window.
No Flamengo for Coutinho
The first would be Flamengo, while the second would be Palmeiras. Neither seems for the moment to be able to formulate a real offer, but one of the two would have withdrawn altogether from the race. According to reports from TNT Brasil reporter Marcelo Bechler, there is very little possibility of Coutinho joining Flamengo this winter. Other Brazilian clubs are reportedly involved, but not Rio de Janeiro.
