Under contract until next June, Ousmane Dembélé is getting closer to an extension. At least, optimism would reign within FC Barcelona. Explanations.
Ousmane Dembélé could follow in the footsteps of Lionel Messi and therefore leave the club with the status of free agent . However, FC Barcelona would not intend to let go of the world champion for whom the renewal of the contract would not require the same financial efforts as for the six-fold Golden ball. In fact, the new coach Xavi Hernandez made the color clear during his introductory press conference on Monday. “For me, Dembélé can be the best player in the world at his post. It depends on him, his mentality and whether he gets hurt a little. For me, its extension is a priority ”. Barça are optimistic for Dembélé
And on the side of FC Barcelona , confidence would start to grow about the extension contract of Ousmane Dembélé . At least that is what Marca has underlined in recent hours by pointing out some optimism among the Blaugrana leadership. The cause ? In the proposed contract renewal offer, the bonuses would be particularly significant, allowing Dembélé to potentially retain income similar to his if he managed to play regularly. And this extension would bind him to the club until June 2025. FC Barcelona would consider themselves to be in the home stretch of negotiations.
