In the span of two seasons at FC Barcelona, Antoine Griezmann has clearly not left an indelible mark in club history. However, despite what has been said about him, the Atletico de Madrid forward is seeing some positive results on an individual level.
After snubbing the club culé in 2018 through his documentary La Décision, Antoine Griezmann extended his contract at Atletico de Madrid before packing up to finally join FC Barcelona in 2019. During his two seasons at Barça, Griezmann never managed to fully assert himself in the Blaugrana squad and among the fans, the vast majority of whom felt betrayed by his decision. In the last offseason, Antoine Griezmann left FC Barcelona to find Atletico de Madrid, but he does not only retain the negative of his time at Barça.
“It wasn't catastrophic either”
“Barça? It wasn't a disaster either, because I still have almost scored 20 goals every season. For me, it's a great pride to have played for Barcelona. I was very happy to go, amazing teammates. And I learned a lot from the coaches even though sometimes I didn't play and it was complicated at times. I think that there (editor's note at Atletico), they love me for who I am and for what I am, so it's perfect for everyone “. admitted Antoine Griezmann during an interview for Téléfoot.
