The situation was starting to be unbearable at FC Barcelona and Joan Laporta therefore ended up coming to an end. Thus, after the defeat of the Blaugrana against Rayo Vallecano , the decision was made to thank Ronald Koeman. Although the Dutchman had been confirmed a few days earlier, he therefore had to step down from his coaching duties. A start that Laporta would have liked to see in the offseason before finally reviewing his plans. According to information from El Pais, Ronald Koeman should not have left for a second season at FC Barcelona . Indeed, if Joan Laporta had confirmed the Dutchman, it would have been by default. As explained by the Iberian media, the president blaugrana had made the decision to thank Koeman and he had even announced to him. Laporta then started looking for a coach, but failures have multiplied, like Julian Nagelsmann , Luis Enrique or even Pep Guardiola , who did not want to join Barça. 
The departure was scheduled for this summer!
