Joan Laporta would use the next winter transfer window to strengthen the workforce of Xavi . Since the arrival of a Spanish technician on the bench of FC Barcelona on November 6, the club culé has not managed to get out of its sports crisis. Indeed, Barça has since been eliminated from the Champions League and is now at a disappointing 7th place in Liga . Thus, Xavi would have been looking for reinforcements on the transfer market, in particular targeting several Chelsea players, namely Hakim Ziyech , Timo Werner , Andreas Christensen and César Azpilicueta . Nevertheless, Thomas Tuchel would not count on giving a gift to the Blaugrana … Xavi therefore seems to have a soft spot for the squad of Chelsea. However, according to information from the London Evening Standard, Thomas Tuchel would be reluctant to register departures next January. This would be the case in particular for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner . The former coach of PSG would prefer to wait for the summer transfer window to possibly separate from the two attacking players. Thomas Tuchel should also not see his defensive sector be turned upside down this winter. According to The London Evening Standard, Chelsea would still expect Andreas Christensen to renew his contract with the Blues soon. The same would apply to César Azpilicueta , who could be offered a one-year extension by his management. A blow for Barça , since the two defenders appeared as opportunities at a lower cost given their contract expiring at the end of the season. Moreover, Thomas Tuchel could play another nasty trick on Xavi. While the latter would greatly appreciate the profile of Jules Koundé , the German would always make the Sevilla FC player his main defensive target. The London club should not, however, attempt to recruit the French this winter, except in the event of a major opportunity. For Xavi and FC Barcelona , good deals should therefore not be found around Chelsea …
