Totally ignored by OM in recent months, Kevin Strootman could make his return faster than expected within the McCourt project, and thus weigh on finances with his impressive salary.

Recruited for 25M € and with a colossal salary estimated at 500,000 € per month in 2018 by the OM , Kevin Strootman quickly turned on the flop. The Dutch midfielder has never really been able to justify such an investment, and to limit the impact on the wage bill, the OM has therefore decided to chain loans for < strong> Strootman ( Genoa and now Cagliari). But he could resurface faster than expected…

Strootman back in January ?

As the Italian press revealed on Wednesday, the loan of Kevin Strootman to Cagliari could be broken, which would therefore lead to a premature return from the former AS Roma player from January to OM. Under contract until June 2023 with the Marseille club, Strootman would therefore again weigh heavily on the finances of the club, which had so far offloaded part of his salary to the clubs which had welcomed him on loan.
