Recruited by OM during the summer of 2019 for around 14M €, Dario Benedetto had a rather successful first season under the orders of André Villas-Boas , before experiencing a serious setback. The arrival of Arkadiusz Milik , then Jorge Sampaoli on the bench which did not count on his compatriot, precipitated the departure of Dario Benedetto who joined Elche in the form of a loan with an option to buy estimated at 6M €. And since the start of the season, the former scorer of Boca Juniors is rather interesting. Holder one in two matches, Dario Benedetto scored two important goals and seems perfectly settled in Elche where he is close to the shareholders. So much so that according to information from AS, the Spanish club intend to keep Dario Benedetto at the end of the season. It remains to be seen whether Elche , 18th in Liga and therefore in the fight for his maintenance, will be able to pay the 6M € corresponding to his purchase option.
