For his OM, Jorge Sampaoli had certain priorities in terms of recruitment. And this summer, one of them was named Gerson. The Argentine had been a midfielder, so at Flamengo , his number 1 target and Pablo Longoria did not hesitate to drop nearly € 20 million to satisfy Sampaoli . Given this investment, Gerson was therefore eagerly awaited at OM , but for the moment it is turning into a fiasco. And obviously, it was predictable… For L'Equipe, a Brazilian recruiter confided in Gerson 's current difficulties with him. And according to him, this could be explained by the fact that the Brazilian does not fit in Ligue 1: “Gerson’s style is not suited to L1. When the ball is lost, it does not go fast enough. In Brazil it works, not in France. I thought that Bruno Guimaraes would have the same difficulties but he knew how to work and adapt accordingly. We'll see if Gerson succeeds ”.
