While OM have obtained the loan of several players with purchase options, the Marseille club may well be forced to drop € 30 million next summer.

This summer, the OM hit hard by enrolling eleven players namely Gerson , Konrad de la Fuente , Leonardo Balerdi , Matteo Guendouzi , Cengiz Under , Pau Lopez , William Saliba , Luan Peres , Pol Lirola , Pedro Ruiz Delgado and Amine Harit . Among them, three have landed in the form of a loan with an option to buy which will not be difficult to raise and which could be expensive for OM at the end of the season.

Purchase options could pose a problem

Indeed, for Mattéo Guendouzi and Cengiz Under , the purchase options will be exercised automatically if OM remains in Ligue 1, which is more than likely. For the Arsenal player, this corresponds to € 11M while for the Turkish international, OM will have to pay € 8M to AS Roma … maybe a little more. And for good reason, Pau Lopez is also loaned by the club of the Italian capital and his purchase option estimated at 12M €, will be exercised if he participates in a minimum of matches with the OM . And as he seems to have gained the upper hand over Steve Mandanda OM will therefore probably have to pay 31M € at the end of the season.
