While PSG have too much of a tendency to let their young talents slip away since the acquisition of Qatar in 2011, Yohan Cabaye intends to reverse this trend thanks to his role within the club.

< p> Appointed by Leonardo this summer as technical director of the PSG training center, Yohan Cabaye has a very clear mission: to allow as many young titis as possible to successfully reach the rank of the capital club's first team, a bridge that has had too much difficulty in the past ten years. Indeed, since the start of the QSI project, PSG has seen a large number of young talents exile ( Kingsley Coman, Moussa Dembélé, Mike Maignan, Jonathan Ikoné, Tanguy Kouassi …), and Cabaye intends to solve this problem as he confided in the columns of the Parisien.

“If we can make them grow at home…”

“The departure of Kouassi in 2020? I wasn't there before, I don't know all the ins and outs. Today our focus is on player progression. This is the heart of the project. If we can make them grow at home … We will not prevent foreign clubs from coming to check what we are doing here, because the reputation of the PSG training center is very good, and our objective is to be the one of the best training centers in the world ”, indicates Cabaye .
