While PSG seems determined to extend Kylian Mbappé's contract, the Parisian club is not helped by the tax regime, which is much heavier for the French only for foreigners.
In the coming weeks, the goal of PSG will be to find an agreement to extend Kylian Mbappé's contract. And for good reason, the lease of the French striker ends next June, and if the situation does not change, the player will be free to discuss with the club of his choice from January 1 with a view to an arrival in end of season. For PSG , time is running out and ideally, an agreement should be found during the month of December. But there are many obstacles.
The French tax system poses a problem …
But the main one concerns French regulations. Indeed, as MARCA recalls, it is much more profitable for a Ligue 1 club to extend or recruit a foreign player, than a Frenchman. And for good reason, the impatriation regime allows PSG to have a tax advantage for foreigners in its workforce. This is the reason why the extension of Neymar is easier to complete. This is therefore not the case for Kylian Mbappé . In other words, if the Parisians decide to offer 30M € per year to the striker of the Blues, it will actually be necessary to spend almost 60M € for the club in the capital. For equal pay, Kylian Mbappé therefore costs much more to PSG than Lionel Messi or Neymar . The tax system being much more advantageous in Spain, this offers a real asset to Real Madrid .
