The young Portuguese international is therefore the new competitor of Juan Bernat and Layvin Kurzawa in this post, and yet the sporting director of PSG had initially targeted another better known profile of Ligue 1 for this purpose. According to the revelations of Ok Diario, PSG would have tried at the end of last season to bring in Ferland Mendy , and an approach would have been initiated by Leonardo to this effect regarding the French left side of Real Madrid . But the discussions would have been quickly interrupted by the club merengue which would not consider letting go Mendy, and the PSG therefore looked at d 'other options .
