The leader of Ligue 1 would have put an offer of extension on the table, offering the biggest salary of the club to Kylian Mbappé (who would therefore be better paid than Neymar and Lionel Messi ). In addition to that, PSG would promise him a very competitive team with several big signings during the next summer transfer window.
