Leonardo suggests that there is still hope, but looking back seems to be very complicated. Paris Saint-Germain have been negotiating the extension of Kylian Mbappé for months, but the failures follow and are similar, despite the importance of the offer. The 23-year-old striker now seems determined to leave PSG to join Real Madrid, with whom he will be able to negotiate from January 1 next. The mission therefore seems to have become almost impossible for Leonardo, who will see one of the best players in the world slip through his fingers. The roots of this separation seem to date back to May 2021 and the extension of Neymar.
