As Fabrizio Romano has indicated on his Twitter account, Real Madrid and Luka Modric are expected to start talks for a contract renewal in the coming weeks. In the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano added a layer on this file this Tuesday afternoon. According to the Guardian and Sky Sport reporter, Luka Modric is expected to extend his contract for one season with Real Madrid. If there is no deal , nor discussions, for the moment, the two parties would still like to continue their adventure together. Thus, it would only be a matter of time before Real Madrid management starts talks with Luka Modric and prepares a new lease for him.
