– Of course, when the whole link is playing well, the puck is usually under your control, and chances appear more often. It also makes it possible to find more free space in a foreign zone. We like to play this kind of hockey, and this is the main thing. In my opinion, now we are just having fun on the ice and enjoying the game.
It's all about psychology. We lost several key players due to injuries, so we had to take a step forward. And now I'm not just talking about my top three, this applies to the entire team. All links have to do their job. As you may have noticed, several of our young guys got the chance to play in the NHL. And they not only go out on the ice, but also create dangerous moments. This is a great opportunity for them to prove themselves and gain experience. Nobody knows what might happen in the future, so it's great that we have guys who can join the roster and show high-level hockey.
Intense segment of the game “Washington”? Playing is always more interesting than training. So it can even be called a positive point. Plus, I haven't played in different time zones for a long time … Before the start of the season, we prepared and realized that sometimes our schedule can be extremely busy. So this is nothing special, and we hope to score points in the course of this segment, – said Ovechkin.
