Team defender Brian Dumoulin was also included in the COVID protocol.
– I know that now he (Crosby) is discouraged. It took him a very long time to come to the moment when he could return to the ice, but now he faced another obstacle. I am sure that he will be able to overcome him, – said the head coach of the team Mike Sullivan.
We will remind earlier that the hockey player underwent surgery on his hands and was forced to miss the start of the current season.
In the last season of the NHL regular season, Crosby took part in 55 games, in which he scored 24 goals and made 38 assists.
