The results of the first round of spectators' voting for the best game of the year have appeared online. The winner will be announced at The Game Awards 2021.
At the time of publication of the material, the first place is shared by It Takes Two and Forza Horizon 5 – both games received 14% of the votes each. Halo Infinite went third, and Metroid Dread fourth (12% and 11%, respectively). Rounding out the top five are Psychonauts 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy – the sequel to the 2005 adventure game and superhero action game has 10% of the vote each.
The Game Awards, which took place for the first time in 2014, attracts more viewers than the main film award, the Oscars. At the same time, the TGA audience continues to grow , while the Oscar loses viewers every year. In 2021, the TGA will take place on December 10 at 4:00 Moscow time.
