The streamer was unable to speed up WoW Classic according to the hardcore rules – the character died at level 50

Streamer and renowned speedrunner Jokerd failed in World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Mastery. He planned to become the first player in the world who managed to reach level 60 according to the hardcore rules (that is, no deaths), but the idea failed: his character died during AoE farming.

Although pumping in the Season of Mastery is accelerated compared to the original WoW Classic (tasks, for example, give 40% more experience), the streamer spent about 50 hours on an unsuccessful speedrun. The first in the world to get level 60 without death were two heroes who played in a group at once: the human paladin Tommysalami and the human robber Tactics. They spent 3 days, 4 hours, 10 minutes and 31 seconds in the game.

With the release of Season of Mastery, WoW's hardcore mode has become official: now a character can contact special NPCs in Ironforge or Undercity to receive a death tracker. The challenge is called “Soul of Iron”, with it the hero takes on a dark appearance. Before the challenge was introduced, playing WoW by hardcore rules was also popular in the community.

Streamer Jokerd became the first player to level 60 during the launch of World of Warcraft Classic in 2019. Subsequently, he removed the record-breaking hero.
