World of Warcraft: Shadowlands players are outraged by the lack of patches in the MMORPG. Users believe that Blizzard is not doing what the community wants, and deliberately stretches the content.
According to gamers, the current version of WoW is extremely boring: the storyline was completed a few weeks ago, for the guilds played, the “Sanctuary of Dominance” raid, even on Mythic difficulty, has ceased to be any challenge – it is cleared weekly on the first day after the progress reset.
Users who have been playing since the start of patch 9.1 are not motivated to log into the game more than once a week, since Blizzard does not provide new content. Many people note that the company is fixing the beloved WoW by many players, changing it to suit trends, instead of doing something new.
On test servers, developers are busy removing “inappropriate references” – they are renaming NPCs named after movie stars and popular musicians, as well as changing the environment, removing supposedly sexy images. For example, the developers renamed the NPC Ace Venturon, which was a reference to the character Jim Carrey from the movie “Ace Ventura: Pet Tracking.” Blizzard considered the presence of such a character in the game offensive towards LGBT people.
Patch 9.1 for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands may be the longest-running patch in the history of the game. The update came out almost four months ago, and the date for the next patch has yet to be announced. Patch 9.1.5 will be released in November, bringing new content to players, but again won't be enough if Blizzard doesn't speed up updates in the future. Gamers believe that the wait for patch 9.2 could be the longest in the history of the game.
