Wargaming and the Rostelecom provider have organized a World of Warships LAN esports tournament. It was conducted for cadets of the Naval Academy named after Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N.G. Kuznetsova.
The championship, which was named “Steel Wave”, was held on November 13 at the Wargaming studio in St. Petersburg, where World of Warships is being developed. The competition was timed to coincide with the 325th anniversary of the Russian Navy. The first place in the tournament was taken by the Legion team.
Earlier Wargaming opened a new studio in Moscow. The division has received the subtitle RED, it will be engaged in the development of an unannounced cross-platform free-to-play project on the Unreal Engine 4 engine.
