Microsoft has presented a documentary series Power On: The Story of Xbox, which is dedicated to the history of the Xbox family of consoles. The trailer was posted on YouTube.
Power On: The Story of Xbox is set to premiere on December 13th. The series will be released on various video hosting sites and will be available for free. In it, current and former Microsoft employees will talk about how the original Xbox was created and what problems the developers faced. The authors of Power On: The Story of Xbox will also look at the entire lifecycle of the console family, title franchises, and the company's future plans.
The original Xbox was released from 2001 to 2009. It became the first game console manufactured by Microsoft. Its direct competitors were the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube. Previously, former X-Box Advanced Technology team director Seamus Blackley revealed that he repeatedly tricked Bill Gates and other Microsoft executives into agreeing to release the Xbox.
