Serb Novak Djokovic commented on the victory over Russian Daniil Medvedev in the Masters final in Paris.
– I went back and watched the final of the US Open to understand what I did wrong and what I did right. I tried to read the patterns of his serving and throwing the ball. I tried to look at small details.
I thought it was only a matter of time before I better read his pitch and start putting on some kind of rallies. You have to find a way to play with controlled aggression, fire the right shots at the right time. It is the variety that wins his matches. We both gave our best on the court, there were a lot of grueling rallies, – said Djokovic in an interview with Tennis Channel.
Djokovic won the 37th Masters Serie title of his career, Medvedev was unable to defend his title in Paris.
