First Non-Binary Operator Coming to Battlefield 2042

Playable characters in Battlefield 2042 will include Emma Sundance Rosier, the first non-binary character in the series. This was announced by Lead Community Manager at EA, Adam Freeman, on Twitter.

Users noticed that the developers write about Rosier exclusively in the neuter gender and asked about the character's self-identification. Freeman confirmed that the operative was non-binary. Rossier is one of the ten main characters in Battlefield 2042. Their feature is a wingsuit that allows you to travel long distances in the air. In addition, Sundance can throw smart explosives that seek out enemy vehicles and do moderate damage. Rosier were not available in the beta version of the game.

The release of Battlefield 2042 is scheduled for November 19. The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X / S. Earlier it was reported that Electronic Arts has expanded the list of editions of the Battlefield 2042 shooter with crossgen bundles. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will now also be available to purchasers of the standard digital versions of the game for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S / X. EA representatives attributed this decision to the shortage of next-generation consoles.
