Streamer Ilya Maddyson Davydov criticized the organizers of The Game Awards 2021 for the fact that the victory in the nomination for the best director went to the action game Deathloop. In his opinion, Cyberpunk 2077 could well compete in this nomination, but the CD Projekt RED game was not even included in the shortlist of applicants. Davydov spoke about this during his conversation with viewers on the stream.
Ilya Maddyson Davydov:
“To be honest, I still didn’t understand the joke with Cyberpunk 2077. We saw this game in some category, which means, nevertheless, it is not considered a game of that year. <…> Was the direction in the Cyberpunk 2077 cutscenes really bad? In my opinion, she was just incredibly cool, no matter how you feel about the game. In my opinion, one sex with Eurodyn was better than all Deathloop put together. “
There were no good games at all in 2021, according to Maddison, so there wasn't much to choose from.
Ilya Maddyson Davydov:
“There were no games at all this year. Every year it got worse and worse, but there were no games at all in this. Zero. <…>
If mobile games were normally ported to a PC, then it would even be possible to stick to some of them, but they do not even change the interface. There is also three minutes of work, why are you so lazy? After all, mobile games cannot be distinguished from ordinary ones, but they still do not do it, they just port it. “
Davydov also noted that he is looking forward to the release of Starfield, but he would not mind playing high-quality re-releases of old titles.
Ilya Maddyson Davydov:
“Starfield is great. And now the page still appeared on Steam and it's just amazing, because I will really look forward to this game, of course. The desired has already been added. But where are the new The Elder Scrolls? Where is the new GTA? Where is the new Fallout? Where are some interesting re-releases of old games, and not such shit as was the case with GTA? I hope that we will wait for all this in the near future. “
