While the project to buy ASSE led by Jean-Michel Roussier and Mathieu Bodmer is still in the running, two defensive tracks have already been activated.

“At one point or another we will finish well by getting there it is obligatory. I would like this to be done before the end of the calendar year. If we find the right candidate, who meets our criteria, the change will normally only be beneficial for the club ”. In September, Roland Romeyer did not hide his intention to see the ASSE sold before the end of the year. And while a few days ago, it seemed unthinkable, everything accelerated since KPMG, the audit committee mandated by the Greens, had set a deadline for Monday for the submission of offers. And a project seems to have taken the lead.

Mangala and Kouassi already targeted?

Indeed, according to information from Foot Mercato, the project led by Jean- Michel Roussier and Mathieu Bodmer is still in the game, and would even be the best placed. So much so that the former midfielder would already have several avenues to revive ASSE like Elaquim Mangala , free from any contract, and the 'former PSG defender, Tanguy Kouassi who plays little at Bayern Munich . Mathieu Bodmer therefore quickly identified the main weak point of the Saint-Etienne workforce.
