The 35-year-old had been fired twice for two things: being late in training and then dropping out of an individual training session four months later. The two parties had the opportunity to resolve their issues during the conciliation hearing held last September, which Stéphane Ruffier did not attend. The ASSE and the now coach of the young goalkeepers of Aviron Bayonnais FC will therefore have a new opportunity to settle their differences. A new date has been set for the trial between ASSE and Stéphane Ruffier according to the AFP. The club and the former player are expected to meet at the tribunal on February 7, 2022. The former Saint Etienne goalkeeper, who is contesting his dismissal for serious misconduct, is claiming several million euros from the Greens. It remains to be seen which justice will prove right.
