Nevertheless, the Dutch technician is not expected to leave Catalonia just yet. Wednesday's loss to Rayo Vallecano (1-0) was too bad a result for Ronald Koeman. For many months, his place had been strongly questioned and Joan Laporta finally decided to part ways with the Dutch technician. The Catalan president is therefore reportedly looking for a new coach, the name of Xavi being mentioned regularly lately. For his part, Ronald Koeman would have clear ideas for his future. According to Sport information, the former coach of the Netherlands could still stay in Barcelona despite his dismissal from the Catalan club. Indeed, Ronald Koeman is said to have bought an apartment in Pedralbes in recent months and to have acquired a house requiring several months of work. The now ex-coach of FC Barcelona intends to stay in Catalonia. He is therefore not expected to return to the Netherlands anytime soon.
