While it is announced that FC Barcelona aims to extend Gavi's contract, this should indeed happen if we are to believe the latest echoes in the press.
After having extended the Pedri and Ansu Fati contracts, FC Barcelona intends to do the same with Gavi. The 17-year-old Spanish midfielder hired until 2023 has established himself as the great revelation of this start to the season on the Barça side, and it is therefore natural that the Catalan club would like to s' ensure its services over the long term while revising upwards its release clause, which is currently set at only € 50 million. And obviously, that could soon materialize.
The extension of Gavi is on track!
Indeed, La Porteria announces this Friday that Gavi should indeed extend his contract soon. There would be no problem on the player's side for that, and that is clearly good news as it is all in his hands. It remains to be seen when everything will be finalized. To be continued…
