While expected to settle on the Manchester United bench, Ralf Rangnick is expected to take on a consulting role at Manchester United from next season and have his say on who the next coach is.
The appointment of Ralf Rangnick as interim coach of Manchester United is no longer in doubt. The technician is expected to lead the English club until the end of the season before making way for a new manager who could be Mauricio Pochettino. Present at a press conference, the Argentine coach, however, said he was happy at PSG : “I am focused on PSG. These rumors, we have experience when they happen. When it happens a lot, it's a good sign because we're doing a good job. We are quiet. We don't create the rumors, we don't focus on those rumors. We are focused on PSG. But for us, we have to stay calm and focused ”.
Rangnick will have to validate Pochettino's profile
But as Fabrizio Romano specifies during his column for Benchwarmers, the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino to Manchester United would still be relevant. According to the Italian journalist, the current PSG coach would always be highly regarded within the Red Devils. While he should occupy a consultancy role at Manchester United from next season, Ralf Rangnick will have his say in this matter. Brendan Rodgers and Erik Ten Hag would also be in the sights of the English leaders.
