This summer, Real Madrid were ready for certain follies for Kylian Mbappé. There was even talk of a € 200m offer for the PSG forward.
To acquire Kylian Mbappé during the last summer transfer window, Real Madrid took out the checkbook. And despite the fact that the Frenchman only had a one-year contract with PSG, Florentino Pérez was ready to bet big. Several offers have been proposed and as explained by the president of Real Madrid , 200M € would have been refused by PSG for Mbappé: “We are trying to bring in good players and the best. But you have to be prepared to pay them. Now you give 200 million and they don't sell it to you ”.
160M €, yes. 200M €, maybe…
This Monday, The Athletic returned to the soap opera Kylian Mbappé during the last summer transfer window, referring in particular to the offers made by the Real Madrid for the PSG striker. Thus, if the British media confirms a first offer of 160M €, as regards that of 200M €, this has not been confirmed. Did Real Madrid really offer such an amount? The blur persists …
