As Mino Raiola clearly hinted, Matthijs de Ligt could leave Juventus and join PSG, FC Barcelona or Real Madrid in the summer 2022. To let its Dutch defender slip away, La Vieille Dame would demand a check of 75-80M €.

Arrived in summer 2019 at Juventus, Matthijs de Ligt is not at all on his plate. Indeed, the Dutch defender has struggled to evolve at his highest level since signing for the Bianconeri. According to Mino Raiola, Matthijs de Ligt could therefore leave Juve in the summer of 2022 to join PSG, Real Madrid or FC Barcelona. “I think we all know which clubs to mention for Matthijs de Ligt for his 'next step'. We will see this summer. (…) The Premier League? It could be Barcelona too, or Real Madrid or PSG … ”, the player's agent told NOS recently. This Tuesday, Calciomercato.it announced that Matthijs de Ligt should soon benefit from a release clause of around € 125m. However, Juventus would be ready to negotiate a transfer for a much lower sum.

Juve would demand 75-80M € for Matthijs De Ligt, without consideration

According to the indiscretions of Calciomercato.it this Wednesday morning, the Juventus would be ready to let Matthijs de Ligt slip away against a check between 75 and 80M €. However, the Turin club would prefer to cash this sum in cash. In other words, The Old Lady would not really be in favor of including a consideration to lower the sale price of Matthijs de Ligt. While his Dutch defender is engaged until June 30, 2024, the next summer transfer window would be the last opportunity for Juve to cash a big check for his departure, and this, because an extension would be unlikely.
