After a promising season at RC Lens , Arnaud Kalimuendo saw the PSG lift his counter-option to repatriate the young striker and prevent the Sang-et-Or from exercising his purchase option. Therefore, the idea of the Parisians was to allow Arnaud Kalimuendo to enter the rotation by obtaining playing time as was the case during the summer preparation. But that was before a certain Lionel Messi landed at PSG impressively strengthening the competition and pushing the young Parisian striker to leave his training club. 
Kalimuendo's confession
Loaned to RC Lens for the second consecutive season, Arnaud Kalimuendo acknowledged that the arrival of < strong> Lionel Messi changed everything. “Before his arrival, I said to myself: 'this is going to be complicated'. After his arrival I said to myself: “You have to be realistic, it's going to be very, very complicated”. And I wanted to play! I proved on my loan last season. And when I returned to PSG, I wanted to play. I didn't want to spend my time on the bench. That's why I came back to Lens, ”he says in an interview with Onze Mondial.
