This summer, Paris Saint-Germain could have touched a small jackpot with the sale of Kylian Mbappé, whose contract ends in just a few months.

At the very end of the summer transfer window, Real Madrid decided to move for Kylian Mbappé and apparently made between two and three offers, depending sources. The Paris Saint-Germain was however adamant, thus holding back the French star … who is however dangerously close to the end of his contract! Moreover, Florentino Pérez made a rather remarkable exit on this episode which pitted him against PSG. “Now you give 200 million and they don't sell it to you,” the Real Madrid president said, according to MARCA. “There is a madness of clubs which belong to states and which do not sell you the players”. This € 200M amount has since been picked up by several media across Europe.

PSG will bite their fingers

This is the case of Il Corriere dello Sport, which makes a rather catastrophic observation on the repercussions of this decision of Paris Saint-Germain . According to information from the Italian daily, the Qatari owners would have shot themselves in the foot by refusing 200M € for Kylian Mbappé, since they will inevitably end up losing the player … but also the one who could become his successor! The other big target of the Madrid summer is indeed Erling Haaland, for whom we have revealed the interest of PSG to you on le10sport.com. While Mbappé will cost nothing in transfer compensation, these € 200m will therefore be invested in the other prodigy of European football, but also in recruiting a big name in the middle or in defense.
