But Qatar has absolutely not given up on its extension. The future of Kylian Mbappé remains a major issue for PSG . And for good reason, the contract of the French striker ends next June and there is a good chance that Real Madrid returns to the charge from January 1, date on which Kylian Mbappé will be authorized to discuss with the club of his choice with a view to making a free entry for next season. And while he had recently revealed to have asked for his departure this summer, the former Monegasque would still have the ambition to join Real Madrid at the end of his lease. But PSG has not said its last word. Indeed, according to information from MARCA, the Parisian club could offer a one-year extension of Kylian Mbappé so that he can play in the World Cup in Qatar as a player of PSG at the end of 2022, then join Real Madrid at the end of his new lease, during the summer of 2023. It remains to be seen whether Kylian Mbappé will accept this formula which would force him to stay an additional season in Paris when he had already demanded his departure this summer.
