Returning to PSG this summer, Arnaud Kalimuendo has finally been loaned again to RC Lens. A choice that returned the 19-year-old forward.

For the second consecutive season, Arnaud Kalimuendo is therefore wearing the RC Lens jersey. In the last exercise, the 19-year-old striker was loaned by PSG so that he gains playing time and experience. It paid off and the capital club decided to call it back. So some thought that Kalimuendo could have had a chance with Mauricio Pochettino for this season, but the competition is tough. And finally, the Parisian has once again packed his bags, still being loaned to RC Lens for this season.

“I had to leave Paris to continue playing and improving”

Arnaud Kalimuendo has therefore found the RC Lens and the north of France. And this Saturday, for L’Equipe, the player who belongs to PSG gave the underside of his thoughts and behind the scenes of his departure, admitting: “When did I make the decision to leave PSG? After the match against Reims .. In this match, there was almost the entire group. I am on the bench and I do not enter. So I said to myself that I had to leave Paris to continue playing and improving. (…) I knew that Lens was there and waiting for me. I was in contact with them and I knew the best thing that could happen to me was to come back here. Has contact never been broken this summer with Lens? I didn't talk too much with the managers, but with the players, yes. I had kept plenty of contact and watched their first Championship matches. When I chatted with them, they would encourage me to come back. It reinforced my idea to know that, for them, I still had my place here. Afterwards, Paris was respectful of my decision. They did not put any barrier on me and allowed me to return to a club that I love without necessarily getting everything they wanted. I owe them a lot. Twenty clubs have come forward this summer? I did not pay attention because I had clear ideas. From the start, my favorite has been Lens. It's a club where I am comfortable. It was important to have a second season at the same club. I knew the group, the coach. Even if very nice clubs wanted me, I made my heart speak ”.
