While PSG has achieved an XXL summer transfer window on paper with the arrivals of many stars, two of them are still struggling to justify this status since their signing in the capital: Sergio Ramos and Georginio Wijnaldum. Two cases that challenge… Since the summer of 2017, which had been marked by the fanfare of Neymar, Dani Alves and Kylian Mbappé , the PSG no longer had succeeded in such an ambitious transfer window . But Leonardo managed to take advantage of several big names reaching the end of their contracts this summer to remarkably strengthen the ranks of PSG since Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool) , Gianluigi Donnarumma ( AC Milan ), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid ) and Lionel Messi ( FC Barcelona ) entered free at the Parc des Princes, in addition to the purchases of Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes. An XXL recruitment on paper from Leonardo and which has long been greeted by observers, but on all of these reinforcements , two are currently puzzles. The most worrying case obviously concerns Sergio Ramos (35 years old), since the former emblematic defender of Real Madrid has not played a single minute of play since his arrival at PSG . A situation that calls out, even if Mauricio Pochettino Has tried to stay calm about this in recent weeks: “Unfortunately Ramos hasn't started training with the squad yet, but he's close. I hope it will be as soon as possible. We are satisfied with his progress. He's a great champion. Who can doubt his quality as a competitor and his talent as a footballer? The situation is different for Georginio Wijnaldum (30 years old), since the Dutch international has already played 10 matches in Ligue 1 and 3 in the Champions League under the tunic of PSG , but without ever really giving satisfaction. The midfielder seems far from his best level posted in recent years with Liverpool , which has also forced Pochettino to relegate him to substitute status in recent weeks . So inevitably, the cases of Ramos and Wijnaldum challenge… Besides , the journalist Pierre Ménès pointed out the performance of the two summer recruits of PSG on his blog, Pierrot Le Foot: “They could play three behind if Ramos was in working condition.
